What to put in a Bridesmaid Proposal Box: Everything Iβm giving my Bridesmaids
Putting together my bridesmaids proposal boxes (well tote bags) has been one of my favorite parts of wedding planning! Actually, thereβs so many things that Iβve loved doing throughout our wedding planning process, but this is definitely up there!

Itβs been so fun finding the gifts that I want to include in the boxes and planning out how Iβm going to ask everyone. Iβm planning to host a Bridesmaids Proposal Dinner this month thatβs going to be Amalfi Coast/Positano themed. Think blue, white and lemons! I thought this would be a fun way for all the bridesmaids to get to know each other. Iβll insert some photos from the Italian-inspired dinner here!
For now, Iβm going to share some ideas on what to put in a bridesmaid proposal box, all the gifts Iβm giving my bridesmaids, and a final look at the tote bags I put together!

What to put in a Bridesmaid Proposal Box
Iβm going to share everything that I included in each bridesmaid proposal gift box below. I wanted to make these extra, extra special to show each bridesmaid how much they mean to me and how grateful I am for their friendship.
I wanted to include some of my favorite things and a few beauty and self care items that they could use over and over again.

The Boxes
Letβs start with the boxes! I went back and forth between doing boxes or tote bags. I know gift boxes are more traditional, this is what almost everyone does when proposing to their wedding party. But, I really wanted all the gifts to be practical and useful outside of all the wedding festivities, including the boxes.
I knew I didnβt want to do a traditional gift box since those usually just get thrown out afterwards, so I considered using clear acrylic bins (these Amazon storage containers are surprisingly very affordable) or medium sized shoe boxes from the Container Store.

Then, I found these adorable personalized burlap tote bags from Wedding Favorites! Which, if youβre a bride, you HAVE to check out their website. They have the cutest gifts and accessories for your big day!
I decided to go with the totes because I know the girls will be able to use them over and over again throughout the Summer, for the bachelorette party, on the wedding day, etc. I also ordered these cute little pom poms to hang on the tote bags to dress them up a bit!

Bridesmaid Proposal Card
Iβll insert a photo below of the bridesmaid proposal cards that I made for each of my bridesmaids. I was originally looking on Etsy for a template that I could use, but I didnβt find any that I really loved. So, I decided to make my own on Canva.
I loved the idea of having a little calendar on the card with our wedding date, and then also leaving room on the back to write a personal note!

Iβve also seen really cute cards that have your wedding date, the venue, wedding colors, bridesmaids dress info and all the wedding details on it. I thought about doing that, however we donβt have our colors solidified or the dress details nailed down yet!
Personalized Glass Tumblers
How cute are these iced coffee glasses!? I had the tumblers personalized with each bridesmaidβs name in white vinyl and they turned out SO good. I chose to add on the bamboo lid and clear straw too! This is another gift that the girls can use outside of the wedding in their daily lives!

Ruffled Robes
I knew I wanted to include some sort of getting ready robe or pajama set, and I ultimately decided on the robes, because sizing was easier! Itβs just one size fits all and will work for everyone. I went with the Dusty Rose ruffled robes β they are so, so cute! The quality is great on these β I have the same exact ruffled robe in white for myself!

First Aid Beauty Smoothing Body Lotion
Like I mentioned, I wanted to include gifts that the girls can use during and after the wedding, and I thought this smoothing body lotion would be PERFECT. Iβve been using this lotion for years and itβs incredible! It smooths out all the bumps and lines on your skin.. itβs actually crazy!
I use it daily in the Summer when Iβm wearing shorts or swimsuits. I love how smooth it makes my thighs, butt and legs!

Kitsch Satin Scrunchies Set
Then, I got each of the girls a set of ultra petite satin scrunchies from Kitsch. These are my fave! Theyβre so gentle on your hair and donβt cause any creasing! I always hate when I throw my hair up in a ponytail and when I take it down I have tons of creases.

Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump
Love, love, love Tarte! Itβs my favorite makeup brand. I use their juicy lip plump, mascara and shape tape every day. I wanted to include a few makeup products that my bridesmaids could use on the wedding day and for events leading up to it.
I included Tarteβs Juicy Lip Plump in shade Peachy Beige. It leaves your lips feeling so soft, plump and hydrated without the tingly feeling!

Tarte Glow Tape Highlighter
This is one of Tarteβs newer products and I LOVE it! It is so easy to apply and gives you a subtle sun kissed glow! I gave each bridesmaid the shade Pearl Glow. Itβs on the lighter side, but itβs very buildable if you want more of that glow! I love this one because it doesnβt look glittery/shimmery β just very natural!
You can apply a few dots to your cheekbones and gently blend it out with your fingers. I also apply it down the bridge of my nose, underneath my brows and above my cupidβs bow.

Kitsch Satin Pillowcase
Satin pillowcases have so many benefits for your hair and skin! They help reduce hair breakage and frizz, so you wonβt wake up with bedhead, they prevent those awful sleep lines on your face, they reduce acne, AND the pillow stays cool all night long!
I gave each bridesmaid the standard/queen size satin pillowcase in Ivory. There are so many colors to choose from, even a cute leopard print, but I thought the white would match anything!

Patchology Rose Eye Gels
These are my favorite eye gels! I use them 2-3x a week for an extra boost of hydration in the morning! Theyβre filled with hyaluronic acid, healthy antioxidants and strawberry extract which help reduce under eye puffiness, dark circles and wrinkles, improve skin elasticity, and leave your eye area feeling refreshed and more awake!
I store my eye gels in the fridge for an added cooling effect, but you donβt have to. Itβs honestly a personal preference! Theyβre just as effective not refrigerated! I ordered 4 boxes of the 5 pack of eye gels and gave each bridesmaid 2 pairs!

Mixhers hertime PMS Support Drink
These all-natural PMS support drink mixes are so good β strawberry lemonade is my favorite! Theyβre a daily nutritional supplement that helps support your hormone health, they ease bloating, soothe cramps, level mood swings, and support your normal cycle. You just mix one packet with a glass of water! Itβs seriously a game changer.
All the ingredients are 100% natural and plant-based, gluten free, there are no artificial colors or flavors, and contain no sugar. I love these so much and I thought all my bridesmaids would enjoy them too!

So thatβs everything that I included in my bridesmaids tote bags! I filmed some videos putting together all the bags that you can view here! I LOVE how they turned out.

Other bridesmaid gifts to include in your proposal boxes:
Here are a few other small gifts and accessories that you can add to your bridesmaid boxes that your bridesmaids will actually use.
- lip balm
- personalized jewelry box
- compact mirror
- hair ties
- claw clips β these large claw clips are great for thick hair
- jewelry tray
- champagne flutes
- bath bombs or bath salts
- face mask
- personalized dress hanger
- coffee mug
- makeup bag β these letter patch travel bags are our favorite!
- candle tin
- wine tumbler
- fuzzy slippers β hereβs an affordable personalized pair!
- bottle of wine
When thinking about gift ideas for your bride tribe, consider items that youβd want to receive if you were being asked to be a bridesmaid. I personally wouldnβt want anything that says βbridesmaidβ directly on it because I probably wonβt use it after the wedding.
You donβt have to go crazy with gifts! Just pick a few small items or accessories that your future bridesmaids can use during and after your big day.
Maybe itβs a pair of dainty earrings the girls can wear, or a few of your favorite beauty products they can use for the bridal shower, bachelorette and wedding day. Or some non-personalized fuzzy slippers that they can wear while getting ready the morning of, and after! Or if youβre having a destination wedding, you could include a personalized passport holder!
There are so many creative ways you can ask your girls and I hope this post gave you some unique and thoughtful gift ideas! Iβll be sharing more photos and videos of my bridesmaid proposal on Instagram!
