Why BIG Wall Decor
I actually came across BIG Wall Décor on social media and thought their two-part wall art system was GENIUS! We have pretty tall ceilings in our apartment, so there’s a lot of wall space that requires large wall decor. However, if you’ve ever shopped for large artwork, you’ll know that it is EXPENSIVE.. And it’s usually heavy and hard to move.
What really drew me into BIG was that they offer massive, and I mean massive, artwork that’s easily interchangeable, so you can swap out the fabric prints whenever you get bored! You can order the frame and prints together, or if you already own the frame, you can just order the prints.
This system allows you to easily change and update your home decor, without spending a fortune on an entirely new piece of large artwork!
Since we live in an apartment, but will eventually move into a house, I loved that the prints and frame can be disassembled for easy storage and/or moving. The prints can be folded up and the frame comes apart, so we never have to worry about damaging or tearing the artwork. I also just learned that the prints are washable – even better!

The Two-Part Wall Art System
The two-part wall art system consists of a portable, metal infinity frame and a durable fabric print. Everything comes unassembled in rectangular cardboard box, which I was easily able to carry up to our apartment by myself.
The first part of the system is the frame. It’s basically the foundation for all of your artwork! Once you have the frame, you can buy as many prints as you’d like and swap them in and out!

The fabric prints are the second part of the system. All artwork is printed onto high quality, soft fabric that will not fade! There is silicone beading on each side of the fabric print, which is used to help insert the print into the frame.
Once inserted, the fabric print is completely smooth and taut and gives the look of a frameless finish. You can fold, roll or store your prints however you’d like and you don’t have to worry about any tears or scratches. They can be gently steamed (and washed) if needed, but do not iron them!
BIG Wall Décor Assembly
The frame is super easy to assemble – I think it took me a total of 5 minutes (I’ll share some photos below). We have the 1″ frame, and I first laid all four side pieces on the floor, smooth side down, and then inserted the connector pieces and tightened the screws. It’s pretty straight-forward once you start doing it!
To insert your print, first lay it over the frame with the artwork facing up. Starting at the bottom right corner, fold the silicone under and press into the frame. Then, do the same thing in the opposite corner, and finally the last two corners.
Continue pressing the silicone lining into the frame by starting in the middle of each side, working towards the corner.

BIG Wall Décor Sizing, Prints & Customization
Sizing starts at 24″x24″ and goes up to 72″x108.” We measured our space beforehand to make sure we ordered the right size, and we decided to go with the 40″x60.” It looks great above our sectional and fills the wall space perfectly!
In terms of print options, there are so many to choose from and they’re constantly adding new arrivals to their site! Usually my fiancé and I have a hard time finding artwork that fits both of our styles, but we had no problem finding prints we both loved from BIG.
We ended up going with three different prints; August (which we had the artist’s signature removed and then rotated it horizontally), Acrylic Grey No 1, and Accomplishment.
They’re all stunning and we plan on swapping out the prints throughout the year, but we decided to hang Acrylic Grey No 1. It brightens up our living room and gives off a modern, luxe vibe. I love it!

Where to Hang your Oversized Art
We decided to hang our artwork in our living room, above the couch, but you can hang it anywhere! Large artwork would look great in an entryway, as a statement piece, in your dining room on a blank wall, behind your desk in your home office, or above your bed.
Another great place to hang oversized art is in a long hallway. If you have a large, unused wall, you can fill it with a horizontal print!
I always love seeing before and after photos of rooms after artwork or decor has been added! It’s so crazy how individual pieces can completely transform a living space!
