I wanted to talk a little bit about the fabric of these washable rugs. If you’ve personally owned a washable rug before, then you know some of them can feel more like a bath mat than an actual rug. This is not the case with the washable area rugs from Boutique Rugs.

Cleaning Recommendations
Here are some spot cleaning and washing tips to prolong the life of your washable rug.
Spot Cleaning: This is great for any minor spills that occur. Using a mixture of dish soap and cold water, blot the stain, starting from the outer corner and moving inwards. Use paper towel or a white cotton cloth.
Machine Washing: For larger spills or stains, you can wash your rug in the washing machine, but do not use fabric softener or bleach. Start by pre-treating the stain with some dish soap, and then place the rug in your washer (bottom side facing up). Wash in cold water on the delicate cycle. You can repeat this process if the stain remains!
Vacuuming: Most vacuums today have a super strong suction, which can ruin your rug and pull the threads out. It’s recommended to use your vacuum’s handheld attachment. Sometimes I’ll do this, otherwise, I’ll vacuum using the lowest power setting.
