Fall in the Midwest is just superior. The weather is cool and crisp (usually), this year it’s actually been pretty warm though. The Fall colors are absolutely gorgeous, we get to bring out our UGG boots, oversized sweaters and leggings, everything slows down just a bit, and my favorite part.. APPLE CIDER DONUTS!
The fall foliage here in Wisconsin may be a close second. It’s always so pretty here during the month of October making it perfect for outdoor photos. So, if you’re looking for some Fall photo ideas and inspiration to take with your friends, this post is for you! No pumpkin patch or apple orchard required.

Fall Photoshoot Location Ideas
Ideally, we wanted to take Fall photos at the Apple Orchard. However, there were so many bees and we couldn’t enjoy our apple cider donuts, so we ended up going to the nearest Pick N’ Save and eating on a bench.
There just so happened to be a few trees with gorgeous colorful leaves so we decided to take our photos there. Right outside the grocery store haha! But you would never know! It just goes to show you don’t need to go to the apple orchard or a pumpkin farm, to get some great Fall photos.
Fall Photo Outfit Ideas
Since we’ve had a warmer Fall this year, I got the chance to wear this cute red gingham dress. Typically, I’d be in a winter coat, hat and gloves in mid-October, so I’ll take it!
I actually wore this same dress on the Fourth of July, but I thought the gingham print would look great with the red and orange leaves for Fall. And I was right, it’s so cute!
My sister wore a cute little cropped red crewneck tee and white wide leg jeans. These jeans are $50 and such great quality! They’ve got a little crop to them and look great with a pair of sneakers or sandals!
