Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I hope you all have an amazing day spent with family and friends, and with tons of yummy food! ๐ Today my family is heading over to my grandmaโs house (which we have done ever since I was a baby) where we eat lunch with my momโs side of the family! Iโm not a huge fan of Thanksgiving food, and neither are my siblings so my grandma decided to have brunch food this year! Sheโs making pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns, french toast, sausage, and will have tons of fruit. I cannot wait! I think this might be the first year that I am actually excited about the food weโre having for Thanksgiving!
After we eat, weโll usually play a couple card games and look through the Black Friday newspaper ads for fun!
After my grandmas, my boyfriend and I are heading to his familyโs house for a Thanksgiving lunch, and thenย to my auntโs house forย dinner.ย
Itโs pretty nice because most of my family lives within a 30 minute radius of each other so we never have to travel far.
At my auntโs we always watch football, eat food, and play games. Whatโs funny is that when we have dinner, my cousins and I still eat at โthe kids tableโ because there isnโt enough room at the grown up table (even though we are all technically grown ups!) My cousins and I laugh about this every year! Kids table for life haha. Comment if this is you!
After we eat, we always spend time talking and reminiscing about things we used to do when we were kids. Years ago, my cousins and I would make Video Stars everything Thanksgiving after we ate (let me know if anyone remembers those)! Now weโll always watch the old videos and laugh. Itโs so fun reminiscing on our childhood and the funny things we used to do! My favorite is listening to our parents tell stories about what their lives were like growing up, they usually have some very funny stories!
We usually stay at my auntโs until 10pm just talking and playing games. When we get home, usually we head straight to the mall for some Black Friday Shopping!! I will share my finds in the next blog post.
I will leave you with 10 Things Iโm Grateful for this year! I encourage you to reflect on what youโre grateful for and share those with your family! ๐
