Summer Beauty Must-Have Products!

Summer is by far my favorite season! My skin gets tanner (somewhat haha), my hair gets lighter, my freckles start to show, and my makeup routine gets a whole lot simpler! Since it’s so warm in the summer, I like my makeup to be very lightweight and natural, which makes my routine super quick and easy!

Today I’m going to share with you a few of my favorite makeup and beauty products that I consider must-haves for summer! I’m in the process of cleaning up my beauty and skincare items right now, so all the products I’ll be talking about are clean and non-toxic! These are my bare minimum summer essentials that I use every single day. Enjoy!

Mineral Sunscreen

If there’s one product that you must wear every single day, it’s SUNSCREEN! Sun exposure is one of the major causes of wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, and skin cancer. So do yourself a favor, and lather yourself up, every day! I am so crazy about wearing sunscreen that I bring a bottle to work and rub it on when I go for my lunch time walk!

I like to use Beautycounter’s CounterSun Mineral Sunscreen lotion because it’s reef friendly, doesn’t contain any hormone-disrupting chemicals, protects you from UVA/UVB rays & blue light, and smells amazing! I also like that this sunscreen doesn’t leave you with a white cast after you put it on like some mineral sunscreens can do.

Honestly, if there is one product that I recommend you swap out for a safer alternative, it’s your sunscreen! You will do yourself and our coral reefs a favor!

Lightweight foundation

I don’t like to wear heavy foundation in the summertime, so I opt for light to medium coverage! I am obsessed with Beautycounter’s Tint Skin Hydrating foundation (I use shade Linen) because it gives me super light weight, but buildable coverage and evens out my skin tone. I typically use one to two layers of foundation, so I can still see my freckles! I really try to go for a natural makeup look in the summer, so this foundation is perfect!

Moroccan Magic Lip Balm

I never leave my house without my Peppermint Eucalyptus Moroccan Magic lip balm! I’ve got one in my purse, one in my car, and one in my bedroom so that I always have it on hand because it’s THAT good. It keeps my lips super smooth and hydrated all day long, and it’s totally safe! Infused with organic Argan and Essential Oils, this balm is USDA Certified Organic and Cruelty-free (Leaping Bunny Certified). I couldn’t ask for anything more in my lip balm!

Ice Roller

There are so many benefits to ice rolling! It minimizes the appearance of your pores, de-puffs your face and under-eye area, tightens and soothes skin, and calms/relieves sunburns and skin irritations. I love ice rolling.

I can feel my face immediately tightening when I use it! So even if you’re in a hurry, ice rolling for a few minutes can make all the difference! I keep the attachment to my roller in the freezer, so I can easily grab it in the morning before work! If you haven’t tried it yet, I definitely recommend you buy yourself one! They’re super affordable (around $12) too!

Zoya Nail Polish

Zoya is my favorite toxin-free nail polish brand! It’s formulated without formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and the polish is super long-lasting! Perfect for those of you who are constantly on the go in the summer and want a color that stays on! There’s 400 different nail polish colors to choose from on their website, so you will definitely find the color you are looking for! My favorite is this light blue! I currently have it on my nails and toes!
