1. Weekend Getaway to a Cabin
I love weekend getaways. They’re so much fun and it’s so nice to escape your busy, day to day life. Book a trip to a cute Airbnb cabin and spend the weekend unplugging from social media.
2. Go on a Road Trip
Pack tons of snacks, blankets and write down some fun questions to ask each other while on the road!
We’re planning a roadtrip to Yellowstone soon and I can’t wait.
3. Go Camping
If you love the outdoors and being in nature, pack up your tent and head to a camping ground. There’s so many things for you to do and it’ll allow you some quality time without social media.
4. Head to a Pumpkin Patch
Picking out a pumpkin and taking photos at the pumpkin patch is one of my favorite parts of Fall. We’ve been doing this for years and it’s so fun.
5. Have a Bonfire with S’mores
Who doesn’t love sitting outside, cuddling up with tons of blankets and roasting s’mores!? Perfect romantic date.
6. Go to an Apple orchard
This is on our list of things to do this Fall. We’ve both never been to an Apple Orchard but everyone’s photos look so cute. It’s a perfect weekend activity to do during the day.
7. Go to a Haunted Trail or Forest
Over the years, the haunted forests have been getting scarier and scarier. If you love being scared and want to cuddle up close to your significant other, look for some haunted forests you can go to!
8. Go hiking
Fall is one of the best times to hike because the leaves are changing color, the views are absolutely beautiful and the weather isn’t scorching hot.
9. Make Fall Recipes Together
Baking a seasonal recipe is so fun. I have so many recipes saved on Pinterest I want to try. Here are a few recipes we’re going to try making this season. I’m probably most excited to make these Cinnamon Sugar Pumpkin Donut Holes.
10. Carve pumpkins
After you go to the pumpkin patch, come home and carve the pumpkins! You can even buy little electric candles to put inside the pumpkins so they light up at night.
11. Ask Each Other Fun Questions
Asking each other fun and silly questions is a great way to get to know each other even better. We have this book called A 5 Year Question A Day Memory Journal, and we ask each other a new question every night before bed! There are 365 questions in the book, so you’ll never run out of ideas!
12. Go to the Farmers Market
Farmers markets are beautiful in the fall. The flowers and seasonal food are my favorite. I always love the apple cider donuts and pumpkin spice flavored everything!
13. Drive-In Movie
It’s always fun to spice things up a bit and do something new instead of going to the movie theater for every date night. Grab some snacks and blankets, hop in the car and head to a nearby drive-in theater to watch a flick with your honey.
14. Halloween Movie Marathon
The classic Disney Channel Halloween movies are the best! I look forward to these every year. If you aren’t into those, opt for a more scary, horror film to put you in the Halloween spirit.
15. Wine Tasting
Looking for a more romantic date night? Get dressed up and head to a vineyard or winery. That’s definitely on our list of things to do this fall!
16. Couples Photo Shoot
There is no better season for a photoshoot than Fall! Hire a local photographer or a close friend and go to your favorite park to get some nice shots. The scenery and colors in fall make for the best outdoor photos!
17. Head to a Corn Maze
We do the same corn maze every year and it’s so difficult! We spend hours trying to figure out how to get out and it’s a great way to bond and spend time together.
18. Make Halloween Costumes Together
DIY Halloween costumes are definitely the way to go. I can’t believe how much stores charge for costumes now! It’s crazy! Look up on Pinterest how you can make some cute costumes with items you already own and spend a night crafting together!
19. Attend a Local Sports Game
Cheer on your high school or college’s football team, go to a soccer game, a tennis match, or volleyball game. There are so many sporting events going on in Fall. We live in a big college football town, so Fall is always our favorite time of year for sports.
20. Visit a Nearby City
There are probably so many nearby towns that you haven’t explored yet! Take a drive to a local city you haven’t been to yet. If you live in the Midwest, you’ll have to check out the cozy, picturesque town of New Harmony, Indiana. We took a weekend trip here in October and it was absolutely beautiful!
