Favorite Fall Activities!

Happy second day of Fall!! I cannot even begin to explain how excited I am! Just thinking about cozy sweaters, pumpkin spice EVERYTHING, college football, cozy nights in, bonfires, warm drinks, and the cool air makes me so happy 🙂 As much as I love summer and spending days at the beach, I love the change of seasons here in Wisconsin. It gives me another reason to switch up my home decor, fashion, and organization!

I plan on posting a ton of Fall inspired content- Fall Fashion, Favorite shoes for Fall, Decorating Inspiration, and much more! Be sure to look out for all of that coming soon!

For today, I’m going to be sharing a few of my favorite Fall activities! These are things that will get you into the Fall spirit and just give you some inspo if you’re looking for something to do! I know I sometimes struggle with finding activities to do with my friends when the weather starts to get cooler, but I came up with a list of things to keep you busy all season long!

Pumpkin Picking/Cornmaze

This is a tradition I do every year and always look forward to! Every pumpkin patch is different, but the one that I usually go to has a hay ride, pumpkin patch, corn maze, games, and my favorite apple cider donuts 🙂

Make a Fall Recipe

There are so many different pumpkin inspired recipes that you can find on Pinterest to make! If you don’t like pumpkin flavored food, there are so many other seasonal recipes to try 🙂 Here is one of the desserts that I will be making: Autumn Snickerdoodle Cupcakes with Maple Frosting.

Craft Bar/Paint Studio

This is such a fun activity to do with a group of friends or family, especially if it’s too cold to do anything outside! Most studios offer group classes that you can sign up for in advance or drop-in sessions if you have a smaller number of people. I have done a few canvas paintings at a studio near my home and it was so much fun! I’m not the best at drawing or painting, but the studio provides you with instructions that are surprisingly easy to follow!

Watch Classic Disney Channel Halloween Movies

This is my favorite part about the month of October- all of the throwback movies!! Here’s a few that I will for sure be watching: HalloweenTown (all of them), Phantom of the Megaplex, Twitches, and Mom’s got a Date with a Vampire. Comment any movies that I forgot to mention!

Go for a walk!

Put on some leggings, running shoes, a comfy sweatshirt, and get outside! I walk every single day as a way to clear my head and get some exercise. A lot of times I will use this time to listen to a podcast or call my mom. Such a great way to multi task and enjoy the fall weather! I always try to walk on different paths or try different routes around my neighborhood to get new scenery, especially in Fall! The trees are changing colors and it’s so pretty 🙂

Carve Pumpkins

The pumpkins I carve never turn out the best, so to make it easier, I look up templates online and print them out. Then, I cut out the design and tape it to the pumpkin and carve within the design!!

Bonfire with Smores

Just the thought of cozying up by a warm fire making smores and laughing with friends makes me smile. This might be my favorite part of Fall 🙂

Go to a Football Game

Whether its high-school, college, or professional, any football game is fun to attend. Even if you don’t actually pay attention to the game haha, it’s fun to tailgate and just socialize with your friends. Wearing cute game day wear and getting ready to go to the game is half the fun!

Fall Shopping Spree

I love going shopping right when the fall merchandise hits the stores! It’s so fun to find seasonal candles, kitchen towels, cozy sweaters, blankets, boots. Plan a day where you can shop til you drop looking at all the new clothes and home decor for this season.

Host a Game Night with your friends

I went to a game night a few months ago and it was so much fun! There was about 15 people there and we all brought some appetizers to share. If you want to host a game night at your house, find some party games like Catch Phrase or Pictionary (games that everyone can play or people can be divided into teams), turn on some music, and order pizzas! You’ll be sure to have a fun night! You could even make it a themed party with costumes or have everyone wear pajamas.

Have a Fall Photo Shoot

Photo shoots are so fun and with the leaves changing color you will be sure to get some amazing shots. This time of year would be perfect to get family photos taken outside or pics with some of your roommates or friends.

Decorate your House!

I love changing up my home decor for the seasons! It’s so fun to have specific tablecloths, place mats, blankets, or towels for Fall. Growing up, my siblings and I would always look forward to helping my mom set up our decorations. Now that I have my own apartment, I think it’s even more fun because I love buying new decor items and setting everything up.

Girls Night In

I always love having a night-in with the girls-painting nails, doing face masks, watching rom-coms, eating tons food. It’s so fun to just talk, catch up, and reminisce.

Farmers Market

There is always a ton of seasonal food and flowers at the Farmer’s Market when you go in Fall. You can pick out your pumpkin, buy some fall decor, or get some fruit and vegetables. I always have fun walking around and looking at what the vendors have to offer!

All “Fall” day

Take one day to just enjoy all things “Fall” related! Make pumpkin bread, go get a pumpkin spice latte, decorate for fall, put on a Halloween movie, do a craft that you can hang up in your house, etc.

Hopefully this will give you some good ideas for what to do in Fall! The weather is starting to get a bit cooler, so I’m excited to start wearing my sweaters and comfy pullovers. Let me know in the comments below what your favorite Fall activities are and what you’re most excited for!
