Two skincare products you’ll want to add to your PM Skincare Routine if you want smooth, healthy and younger-looking skin.
If you’ve been following me for a while you know that I have a slight skincare obsession. My bathroom cabinets are literally overflowing with moisturizers, serums, masks, mists, and creams. I love trying out new products, seeing what ingredients works for my skin, and sharing my findings with you guys!
It’s been a little while since I shared an updated skincare routine, which I definitely plan on doing soon! But, today I wanted to share the two skincare products that have completely transformed my skin.

Two products you’ll want to add to your PM Skincare Routine
005-Fi Skin Firming Cream
I’ve tried a lot of moisturizers over the years, and Good Science Beauty’s Skin Firming Cream is one of my favorites. It has a luxurious silky texture with a neutral scent, subtle and not overpowering; and it’s great for dry and sensitive skin.
I actually really look forward to my morning and nighttime skincare routine just so I can use this moisturizer! I’ve been using it on a daily basis for six months now and I’ve seen such great results. My forehead lines have softened, my skin feels soft and smooth, and overall my skin looks more even/balanced.
Over the past few months, I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve been complimented on my skin! I owe it all to this cream!
What it does: reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (28% wrinkle reduction in 28 days), evens skin tone and promotes skin elasticity.. it’s the perfect anti-aging moisturizer
How to use: after using your serum, apply 2-3 pumps to your fingers and massage into your face, neck and chest
What I love: too many good things to say about this moisturizer! It feels so luxurious, yet lightweight, wears well under makeup and is great for sensitive and/or delicate skin.
Since it’s so gentle, it works really great as an eye cream too. I actually stopped using a separate eye cream in my morning skincare routine because this lightweight moisturizer works just as well. After applying it to my face and neck, I’ll use my ring finger to lightly dab any excess product around my delicate eye area.
I do have a discount code for 25% off your Good Science Beauty purchase, which I’ll talk about later, but if you want to take advantage of it now, the code is SUNDAYMIMOSAS25.
003-Hy Hydrating Facial
This has easily become my favorite overnight face mask. I use it one to two times a week and it makes my skin feel so hydrated and moisturized. It helps strengthen your skin’s barrier, plump your skin and restore its’ smoothness while your skin is in repair mode. When you wake up, your skin will feel silky soft!

It’s funny because when I first tried this mask, I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. I wasn’t expecting the cooling, jelly-like texture and I was kind of worried that it would ruin our pillows.
After months of use, I can confirm it does not mess up your pillows, ours are white btw! It absorbs almost instantly into your skin and the results speak for themselves. After one night of use, you’ll be able to see a difference in your skin!
What it does: Hyaluronic Acid, Good Silicon+ and Marine Omega-3 work together to plump, strengthen and rejuvenate your skin while you sleep
How to use: for best results, apply the face mask to clean skin right before bed. Let the sleep mask work its magic and then rinse your face with warm water in AM.
What I love: absorbs easily, incredibly hydrating, doesn’t ruin my pillows (this is a big thumbs up for me!), makes my skin feel so soft/smooth when I wake up in the AM and it’s great for any skin type
This sleep mask is the last step in my PM routine and it’s been a game changer, especially in the Fall and Winter when my skin is feeling extra dry and flaky.
If you also struggle with dry skin, I recently shared my top ten at-home remedies to soothe dry, itchy and irritated skin.
Good Silicon+
What sets these two skincare products apart from other products on the market is Good Science Beauty’s patented technology, Good Silicon+. First of all, Good Silicon+ is not the same as the synthetic polymer, silicone, with an “e” at the end. I personally try to avoid silicones in my hair and skincare products, but Good Silicon+ is completely different.
Good Silicon+ is made up of Amino Acids, Lipids and natural Silicon. One of its main purposes is to increase the effectiveness of skincare ingredients. To do this, it provides a shell around the ingredients to protect them from degradation and oxidation. This allows the ingredients to stay in their most active and effective form as long as possible so they can perform their essential functions.
Good Silicon+ also boosts skin absorption, which is SO important when it comes to skincare ingredients. Yes, it’s great if a product has clean and safe ingredients, but if they just sit on top of your skin, they won’t have a noticeable effect.
If you want to read more about the benefits of Good Silicon+ and why it’s so incredible, I’ll link an article here.
My PM Skincare Routine
A few of you have asked what the correct order of application is when it comes to skincare products. So, I thought it would be beneficial to share my step-by-step skincare application below.
I don’t do all of these steps every night! I switch up my routine depending on how my skin’s feeling and if I wore makeup that day. If I didn’t wear makeup, I’ll skip my cleansing balm and start my routine with my face wash.
If my skin is breaking out, I’ll add in a spot treatment. But if it isn’t, I’ll skip it.. etc. You get the idea!
Step 1: Cleansing Oil / Makeup Remover
I personally prefer a cleansing balm or oil compared to a regular makeup remover. Cleansing balms/oils are gentle and moisturizing. They don’t dry out your skin and they do an amazing job at breaking down makeup, dirt and sunscreen. I use my fingers to massage the balm into my face and over my eyelids. Then, rinse it off with water.
Step 2: Gentle Cleanser
I follow my cleansing balm with a water-based cleanser. Since my skin is pretty sensitive and dry, I look for cleansers that have are more creamy and have soothing ingredients like aloe vera and ceramides.
If you have acne-prone or oily skin, I’d recommend finding a cleanser that is gel-based and contains Salicylic Acid.
Step 3: Serum
At night, I have a few serums that I switch off between! But, if you’re new to serums, I highly recommend adding one to your AM and PM skincare routine. They’re filled with tons of powerful ingredients that are designed to target specific skin concerns – dark spots, wrinkles, fine lines redness, texture, etc.
In terms of my AM skincare routine, I’m pretty consistent and always use a Vitamin C serum! It helps to brighten your skin, reduce wrinkles, even your skin tone, increase collagen production and protect from sun damage.
Step 4: Spot Treatment
Fun fact that I learned more recently – your spot treatment is most effective when applied before your moisturizer, creams and oils! If you were to apply it after your heavier/thicker skincare products, the active ingredients in your spot treatment won’t be able to absorb as well.
Step 5: Eye Cream
This is another skincare step that I don’t do all the time. I do have some eye creams that I use and love, but recently I’ve been using the Good Science Beauty Firming Cream as an eye balm.
Step 6: Night Cream
I talked about this earlier, but I have been loving this Firming Cream. It’s creamy and lightweight, and absorbs almost immediately into my skin. I use it year round!
Step 7: Face Oil
I’ve more recently (the last two years or so) started incorporating oils into my skin care routine. And I definitely don’t use them all the time, but they do have their benefits. A facial oil basically sits on top of your skin and locks in all the moisture and ingredients, strengthens your skin’s barrier, helps soften your skin while also protecting it and helps reduce blemishes.
Step 8: Overnight Sleep Mask
This is the last and final step that I do in my nighttime routine (1-2 times per week). I’ve found that adding an overnight mask has made my skin smoother and more hydrated. I wake up and my skin feels amazing!
