Reflecting on 2018 + My 2019 Goals

Happy 2019!! Hard to believe we are almost a week into the New Year. I hope all of you had a wonderful New Year’s and are ready to take on 2019. 2018 was filled with so many ups and downs, milestones and achievements, so I thought I would take the time to share those along with my personal 2019 New Year Resolutions.

I love taking the time to reflect on what happened, good and bad, in the previous year so that I can learn from each experience. It is great being able to see what I really excelled at and what I need to improve upon in the coming year. If you didn’t get the chance to reflect yet on 2018, I encourage you to do so! Scroll through your pictures starting with the first day of 2018, look at the videos you took, go through your planner and notebooks, your email, etc and look back on everything that happened throughout your year! It’s fun to see the things you did and what you achieved in 12 months.

Based off of what you accomplished, what you need to work on, and new aspirations you have, set new goals for 2019!

Here is my 2018 in review!

*Launched my blog July 9 2018! I actually started designing the web page and writing posts in February 2018 and had 10 blog posts written before I decided to fully launch.

*Graduated from UW Madison in May 2018 with a degree in Personal Finance

*Started my full time job as a HR Assistant in June

*Turned 22 years old. It was my Golden birthday and one of my best birthdays!! My boyfriend and I spent the day at the zoo and ate dinner at Olive Garden and then celebrated with my family at night with cake and presents.

*Started a budget in June and have stuck with it! That’s 7 whole months.

*Went to the Killers concert with my family

*Tried Float Milwaukee- a sensory deprivation tank! Such a cool experience.

*Bought a queen mattress! My first adult purchase.

*Completed the 52 Lists project- journaled for the whole year, which was a one of my 2018 resolutions!

*Read more books than I have in the last couple years combined! (Here are a few-The Financial Diet, Lethal, The Marriage Lie, Fearless, Joining Jesus, Big Magic)

*Became one of those people that carries around a water bottle everywhere! I drink more water than ever now!

*I started paying off my student loans a few months before I was supposed to start paying!

2018 was a great year and I am looking forward to trying to accomplish all the new goals I set for myself for 2019!
