Well guys, in a few days it will be 2020, a new year and the end of a decade. Crazy right? As I get older the years seem to go faster and faster. Sometimes I just want life to slow down!
I feel like I may have mentioned this last year in a blog post, but for those of you that are new to Sunday Mimosas, one of the things I like to do to wrap up each year is to reflect on the goals I had set for myself, look back on all the photos and videos I took throughout the year and then set new resolutions for the upcoming year. If you want to look back at my post last year reflecting on 2018 and my 2019 goals, click here. Before, I started writing this post, I actually read last year’s post and it was awesome to see all the things I accomplished.
So today, I thought I would take the time to share everything that’s happened throughout 2019 with you all! This post is more for me, and something that I can look back on and see what my life was like at this time period. I really love documenting the memories, good and bad, so that in future years, I can read this post and see how my life has changed. This is something I recommend everyone do as well!
Keep reading to see my 2019 achievements and experiences 🙂
*Bought a new 2018 Nissan Rogue. If you know me personally, this is literally my dream car
*Started a new job as a Recruiting Assistant at an IT Staffing company
*Became a Beautycounter consultant and started caring about the ingredients in my products
*Vilas and I ran our first 5k (The Bubble Run)
*Turned 23 years old! I know I said last year was the best birthday yet, but I think this year was even better. Vilas and I both took off work, my mom came up to Madison for the day, we went to the Olbrich Botanical Garden’s, had a picnic lunch by the lake, and then went to dinner at Olive Garden and had friends over at night.
*Paid off 25 percent of my student loans and 40 percent of my car loan. My original goal was to pay off ⅓ of my student loans, so I would have done it, if I hadn’t bought my car!
*Re-vamped Sunday Mimosas with a new theme and web hosting site. I was originally using Wix, but in June, I transferred everything over to Bluehost and WordPress.
*Filmed 3 segments for WKOW 27 on beauty/health/wellness. I was so nervous, but I’m so glad I did it.
*Went to the CrossFit Games in Madison.
*Went to see Brett Eldredge at the State Fair with my mom and sisters
*Went to Katrin Davidsdottir’s (a famous crossfitter) book signing and got a picture with her!
*Moved in with Vilas in August!
*Took a family vacation to Colorado! One of the best vacations I’ve ever been on. To see more photos and what we did read my CO Travel Guide: Part 1 and Part 2.
*Landed over 20 partnerships with different brands. My favorite being Fabletics 🙂
*Got a new job back at the University of Wisconsin as an HR Coordinator in September. Currently I am still in this position, and I love it.
*Went to the Jonas Brothers concert with my sister and her roommate
*Filmed a commercial with Vilas for Rosen Nissan Madison. I was also told it played during the Big 10 Championship game!!
*Vilas and I hosted our first Packer party in our apartment
*Joined Princeton Club again!
*Finally passed Phase Two of Schuster Farm’s Corn Maze!
*Made my first IGTV video. This took a lot of courage because I don’t like speaking on video, but I did it!
*Went to two Badger Football games
*Solidified a morning and night time skincare routine!!
*Wrote a total of 35 blog posts for the year
And that wraps up 2019! I’m looking forward to see what 2020 has in store. If you haven’t reflected on your year yet, I really encourage you to do so. It’s not only fun to look back at all your memories, but it also helps you grow as a person to see what you’ve overcome and accomplished. 🙂
I am also writing another post talking about my New Year Resolutions for 2020, so stay tuned for that next Sunday 🙂
AND lastly, for the month of January I am doing a No-Spend Challenge, mainly just to see if I can do it and as a way to cut back on my expenses so I can pay off my student loans! So a blog post talking about that will be coming out as well!
I hope you all have a safe, happy and healthy rest of 2019!
XO
Cassie
